Fourty spoons

A group of fourty eating spoons made from various windblown timber including sycamore, alder, cherry, birch and field maple. All wood sourced in Sussex. Work commissioned by Restaurant St Barts by Johnnie Crowe.

Beech stool duo

Two stools made using traditional tools (no power tools). Timber included is beech for the seat, ash for the legs and reclaimed oak fencing for the wedges. The beech wood was windblown in 2021 and the ash was felled due to ash dieback in 2020. Work was created for a bespoke market and sold to private clients.

Salad servers

Two salad servers made from alder. Work commissioned by a private client. Wood fell in 2019. Sourced in Sussex.

Alder bowl

A large alder dish turned on a traditional pole lathe. Finished with chip carving detail. Timber fell in 2021. Windblown and sourced in Sussex. Work commissioned by a private client.

Trio of spoons

This spoon trio was made for a group in Sussex. They are made from alder wood in its three states. Carved fresh, carved dry and ebonised. The wood fell in 2022. Sourced in Sussex.

Alder bowl

 A deep, rich alder bowl that was turned on a pole lathe using traditional techniques and tools. Added chip carving details to the rim. Work commissioned by a private client. Wood fell in 2021. Sourced in Sussex.
